Our maternity photography sessions are offered in our modern NYC studio. We use a combination of artistic lighting, combined with both modern and classic backdrops to create our signature style. We have a wardrobe of gowns, dresses, lace robes, bodysuits, and silks to accentuate your curves for maternity portraits.

Your Happiness, Safety and Comfort
Let's address the elephant in the room shall we... yes, I'm male. I've been photographing boudoir and maternity for over 10 years. Your safety, well-being, happiness, and most importantly comfort whilst in the studio is my highest priority. It is for that reason that we adhere to the a strict Code of Ethics.
We will have at least 1 female on set to assist with every shoot, usually 2. With these amazing women on set I should never have a need to touch you, and so my promise to you is that I will never adjust your hair, fabric or dress without your express permission, each and every time. Many clients, after a few times of seeing how I step in to help my assistants, give blanket permission for the rest of the session. You do not, ever have to give permission and I will verbally direct my assistants. I encourage you to speak with our previous clients and/or to be bring your own chaperon if that would make you feel more comfortable.
One model said to me "You're the only photographer during my 15 year career that I've ever let adjust my clothes during a photo-shoot", I was both humbled and appalled by this statement. This was of the reasons I became a Consent Guardian and teach consent workshops in a non-judgemental, if you haven't been taught, how can you know, kind of way.

Why have Maternity Portraits taken?
A maternity shoot is a time of celebration for the new life being created inside of you, and to celebrate your changing body. Feeling good inside your own skin, makes you feel empowered & confident on the outside. We create portraits that capture the glow of love from an expecting mother as they shine in the glory of the life being created inside them.

Scheduling
Maternity sessions are best captured between 28-35 weeks, and are designed exclusively for you. Gareth will discuss ideas on posing, styling, to ensure we bring your vision to life. Once your session is booked we will share additional information and guide you on how to best prepare for your beautiful maternity session.
Wardrobe
We provide a variety of beautiful fabrics and form-fitting clothing items. If you have a special theme in mind, Gareth can guide you with styling and wardrobe choices. Professional hair & makeup is recommended and it is included in our packages.
